Antique Garden

Is there someone who can authenticate this antique from photo?
I found this frame on eBay. The auction states it's a Victorian. Is there an appraiser/professional who can tell from the pics? It doesn't have to be an actual Victorian, I'd just like to know if the design passes muster or is way off-track. Thanks in advance!

It looks to be more of the Art Nouveau style which overlaps the Victorian Era but would not be considered Victorian in style. By the way, it is the Art Nouveau style that is used in the graphics that frame the photos of the bedstead on eBay. (If it has brass finials and details they must have been painted over.)

Full Color

why dont I have full color in mail, and some web sites after my son wiped my hard drive? vista?
after my son wiped my hard drive, ( bad virus) and reinstalled, I now have a problem with colors? pixels? Im not to savy with puters, so dont know why. especially with yahoo mail advertisments, and some web site pictures? they are either blocky, blurry, or color missing. I hope this can be fixed! email pictures that are sent to me are fine.
Ask your son if he reinstalled all of the necessary video drivers back on when he reinstalled Vista. These are necessary for viewing everything on the monitor clearly.

Outdoor Light

Replacing an outdoor light when there are two existing cables both with live, neutral and live ..........??
I am replacing an outdoor light and for some reason there are two existing cables both with live, neutral and earth . If i wire the light to the first cable it is constantly on and wont turn off. If i wire the light tho the second cable the light wont turn off or on. Has anyone got any ideas why this is happening and how to solve it???
For safety you should get a qualified sparky out to it .Having said that if you must D.i.y. the live cable will be live and neutral the other cable will be to the switch ,if you connect the two lives (red) together in a connector block the neutral to the N on the fitting and the last black to the L of the light it should work I am assuming the wires are red and black if not then it's brown and blue .the earth should of course be connected to the earth connection either way

Outdoor Landscape

What kind of lens should I use for outdoor photography?
I plan on taking a trip where I'll be taking a lot of outdoor photography, mostly architecture, but landscape as well. I own a sony a100 digital slr and I was wondering if a wide angle lens would be something to invest in, also what focal length should I look for, as i anticipate needing some zoom. And has anyone had experience with a polarizing filter? I've heard that it helps with reducing haze, and reflections from glass? Appreciate the help!
Wide lens is good. Suggest you look at some architecture mags and see if you like wide angle photos. Polarizing filter is good too, it will reduce the glare. Make sure you get a tripod stand first.
