Blinking Led

How do I change the voltage at which the LED blinks?

I have the LED on a development board and It's running a small blinky program where the LED blinks 5 times every second.

Right now the lowest voltage at which the LED blinks is at 1.7V.
How do I change it to 1V ?

I have a current limiting resistor of 330 ohms on the LED.

But I heard I can't lower the value , because it's a current limiting R.

Please help , Thanks in advance.

Seems to me you need a LED with a lower resistance. If you can't do that, I don't know how you expect to pull this off.

What can I use to replace the stakes for my solar lights?

The ground stakes are snapping off and I need something to stick the lights into the ground.

Oh, solar lights. LOL, sorry. uhm... those little plastic steaks that the tube fits onto are a pain. I havent had a problem with the stakes themselves, the post however has warbled out and made it hard to keep the lights standing I used a small peice of rebar smaller than 1/2" I dont know what size it was I used my big bolt cutters to cut it into 8" peices, I JB welded two peices opposite each to the inside of the decorative tube. removed the light from the top, used a block of wood on the top and gently tapped the post into the ground. Be careful especially if you have the plastic tubes, wet the ground or something very good first.
Once you do this do not pull the post up during lawn care. They will be secure enough to use the weed eater around.

1.Vacuum of space

The fact that sharp shadows are cast by the Sun is an indication that light ____.
a. is a wave
b. travels in straight lines
c. is made up of colors
d. travels in a curved path

Seventeenth century Danish astronomer Ole Roemer studied the orbital period of ____ to determine the speed of light.
a. Io
b. Saturn
c. Jupiter
d. Earth's moon

Thanks~

Simple stuff. You should really try to understand the answers. They're important for your courses. 1. a) Vacuum of space, 2. b) travels in straight lines, 3. a) Io I believe (small chance it's Jupiter)

1. When light passes through a medium, light slows down and it bends at the interface. Vacuum of space is empty, nothing to slow light down. Light remains straight.

2. You should be able to just think about this and see why it makes sense.

3. Roemer followed the eclipses of Io (Jupiter's moon) to determine the speed of light.

How much do you think I should sell these outdoor toys for?

I'm going to post on Craigslist, but i don't know how much to price these. I paid $450 for the playhouse, $140 for the sandbox, and $30 for the chairs. I'm going to sell the playhouse and chairs together. All of these are in very good used condition.

If i had the money i would pay.

300 for playhouse
75 for sandbox
15 for chairs

Seeing as there used before but i dont have sand either :)

do rats & mice like light (heat lamps, lights, etc) when they hunt?

i have a feeling we have some mice in our barn that got in this winter and we get our chickens tomorrow (baby chicks) and i know how they like chicks for supper. i have heard they can see very well and dont like to hunt in light. the light would be the heat lamps. anybody know?

Mice are not a problem other than getting into the chick feed. Rats, now, could be a problem if they are hungry enough to go after the chicks. If that happens, they won't care what kind of light is there. You have two choices: get rid of the rats in a few hours or protect the chicks. You will never kill off the rats because they will always be a threat. The present community can be wiped out. As soon as distant rats find out about the vacancy -- population pressure pushes a new group into the vacancy.

The defense is wire, wire, and more wire. I recommend hardware cloth, which is not cloth. The stuff that has half inch squares, welded, galvanized wire. You buy it in rolls and it is the devil to work with. Build a frame large enough to contain your chicks and cover it with this hardware wire -- all sides of the box frame (includes the bottom also). Access openings must be engineered to keep a rat from squeezing through the hatch edges. I would consider the top to be the hatch, hinged on one side, and the hardware wire wrapped around the hatch frame's exterior. Hatch must be secured tight to the cage frame when closed. Keep the hardware wire on the frame's exterior so the rats must first chew through the wire to get to the frame. I've seen rat chewing damage that was astounding, so inspect the cage daily for attempted rat intrusion.

What are the laws regarding outdoor home surveillance?

I am inquiring regarding home surveillance cameras outside of a home, pointing onto the private property of the home. What are the laws regarding this, such as posting notification of the surveillance or if they are even allowed. I am in the United States, so information regarding the states (specifically) will be of help. Video only surveillance cameras, no sound. Thanks.

We have cameras on our home. They are motion sensored with sound & they record 24/7. We have them on our property only, no one else's. We had them installed for protection due to diff. property damage in our neighborhood. It's perfectly legal. Unless your state has some law against it I don't see why you shouldn't be able to have surveillance of your property. Why don't you call your local police dept. to make sure or better yet your state attorney generals office.
